Friendship is often a topic of conversation as we enter into our 30’s. On today’s episode, I’m bringing my bestie on to discuss why nurturing friendships is so important.
This episode is near and dear to me because my guest, Kate Ford, also happens to be my very best friend. Kate and I have been besties for 13 years through multiple countries, cross-(half)country moves, and misadventures! When she’s not leaving Miranda voice messages to maintain their friendship (and mutual sanity), Kate enjoys life in Yorktown, VA as a wife to Ryan and mom to a growing monster, eighteen month-old Tucker Man, and Reagan, a sweet, sassy, medically-complex four year-old. Additionally, Kate has eight years of teaching experience under her belt, but is greatly looking forward to transitioning back to full time mom-ing starting this summer.
And in light of tomorrow being National Best Friend Day, she and I take some time to discuss the importance of nurturing the female friendships in our lives.
Inside the episode we’ll talk about:
- How we’ve maintained our friendship for so long.
- The pressure to communicate.
- The different seasons of friendships.
- Friendship as self-care.
