INSERT empathetic marketing. What is empathetic marketing, you ask? Empathetic marketing is the art of understanding how your clients/customers/buyers feel and then creating content, messaging and products/services to meet those emotional needs.

Have you ever read a blog post and thought, “Wow! I needed to hear that today. How did they know I needed to hear that today?!” That’s good messaging. That’s the person on the other end of that blog really tapping into the emotional components of what their audience needs and wants.

Like all things in marketing, empathetic marketing takes research, practice and time. Watch this week’s video below for your four-step plan and start practicing this week!

This week, I challenge to think about what emotional problem you’re solving for your target audience.

Think about it this way, with Father’s Day around the corner you may or may not be looking for a custom gift for that special man. When you go to Etsy to search for a custom item, are you really looking for a coffee mug? Or, are you looking for a way to tell your Dad (or other father figure) that you love him, appreciate him and are grateful to have him?
